THE SUPREME COURT APPROVES GAY MARRIAGE

The court's swing voter, Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the majority, struck down laws prohibiting gay marriage in Michigan, Kentucky, Ohio and Tennessee. The ruling, however, is national in scope and affects litigation and laws throughout the country.
